Dearest creature in creation, Study English pronunciation. I will teach you in my verse Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse. I will keep you, Suzy, busy, Make your head with heat grow dizzy. Tear in eye, your dress will tear. So shall I! Oh hear my prayer. Just compare heart, beard, and heard, Dies and diet, lord and word, Sword and sward, retain and Britain. (Mind the latter, how it's written.) Now I surely will not plague you With such words as plaque and ague. But be careful how you speak: Say break and steak, but bleak and streak; Cloven, oven, how and low, Script, receipt, show, poem, and toe. Hear me say, devoid of trickery, Daughter, laughter, and Terpsichore, Typhoid, measles, topsails, aisles, Exiles, similes, and reviles; Scholar, vicar, and cigar, Solar, mica, war and far; One, anemone, Balmoral, Kitchen, lichen, laundry, laurel; Gertrude, German, wind and mind, Scene, Melpomene, mankind. Billet does not rhyme with ballet, Bouquet, wallet, mallet, chalet. Blood and flood are not like food, Nor is mould like should and would. Viscous, viscount, load and broad, Toward, to forward, to reward. And your pronunciation's OK When you correctly say croquet, Rounded, wounded, grieve and sieve, Friend and fiend, alive and live. Ivy, privy, famous; clamour And enamour rhyme with hammer. River, rival, tomb, bomb, comb, Doll and roll and some and home. Stranger does not rhyme with anger, Neither does devour with clangour. Souls but foul, haunt but aunt, Font, front, wont, want, grand, and grant, Shoes, goes, does. Now first say finger, And then singer, ginger, linger, Real, zeal, mauve, gauze, gouge and gauge, Marriage, foliage, mirage, and age. Query does not rhyme with very, Nor does fury sound like bury. Dost, lost, post and doth, cloth, loth. Job, nob, bosom, transom, oath. Though the differences seem little, We say actual but victual. Refer does not rhyme with deafer. Foeffer does, and zephyr, heifer. Mint, pint, senate and sedate; Dull, bull, and George ate late. Scenic, Arabic, Pacific, Science, conscience, scientific. Liberty, library, heave and heaven, Rachel, ache, moustache, eleven. We say hallowed, but allowed, People, leopard, towed, but vowed. Mark the differences, moreover, Between mover, cover, clover; Leeches, breeches, wise, precise, Chalice, but police and lice; Camel, constable, unstable, Principle, disciple, label. Petal, panel, and canal, Wait, surprise, plait, promise, pal. Worm and storm, chaise, chaos, chair, Senator, spectator, mayor. Tour, but our and succour, four. Gas, alas, and Arkansas. Sea, idea, Korea, area, Psalm, Maria, but malaria. Youth, south, southern, cleanse and clean. Doctrine, turpentine, marine. Compare alien with Italian, Dandelion and battalion. Sally with ally, yea, ye, Eye, I, ay, aye, whey, and key. Say aver, but ever, fever, Neither, leisure, skein, deceiver. Heron, granary, canary. Crevice and device and aerie. Face, but preface, not efface. Phlegm, phlegmatic, ass, glass, bass. Large, but target, gin, give, verging, Ought, out, joust and scour, scourging. Ear, but earn and wear and tear Do not rhyme with here but ere. Seven is right, but so is even, Hyphen, roughen, nephew Stephen, Monkey, donkey, Turk and jerk, Ask, grasp, wasp, and cork and work. Pronunciation -- think of Psyche! Is a paling stout and spikey? Won't it make you lose your wits, Writing groats and saying grits? It's a dark abyss or tunnel: Strewn with stones, stowed, solace, gunwale, Islington and Isle of Wight, Housewife, verdict and indict. Finally, which rhymes with enough -- Though, through, plough, or dough, or cough? Hiccough has the sound of cup. My advice is to give up!!!

care-s alea valori occidentale... Pt MYA si Emniescu

(la: Bush-Personalitatea Anului) Salut mya,
Mi s-a parut ca am auzit numele meu mentionat in comentariul tau pentru Eminescu?... Am I right? Nu-i asa? Well,... let me think about it... Hm,... Si asta nu o spun eu, citeste articolul de mai jos: ***Former Australian foreign minister Gareth Evans, who heads up the UN International Crisis Group and who chaired the conference, "emphasised that the criteria did not justify intervening in Iraq but did justify an intervention in Rwanda", Mr Hammarberg said. You could say that (the panel discussion) included indirect criticism of (the US) and the war in Iraq," he added. While UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has called the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq "illegal", the world body itself has met harsh criticism for failing to intervene to stop the 100 days of ethnic bloodshed in Rwanda in 1994, when at least 800,000 people, mainly minority Tutsis, were killed. According to a UN overhaul proposed in December, five criteria should be met before international intervention in a country is acceptable, including only using violence as a last resort and ensuring that the advantages gained through intervening outweigh the disadvantages and the loss of human life suffered as a consequence of the intervention.*** Mya, ai dreptate!!!

Cine poate sa fie pro-american cind cei care pretind ca apara democratia si pacea, de fapt gindesc in felul urmator: --------------------------------------------------------------- It's fun to shoot some people: US General 10:19 AM February 4 A senior US Marine Corps General who said it was "fun to shoot some people" should have chosen his words more carefully but will not be disciplined, military officials have said. Lieutenant General James Mattis, who led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, made the comments at a conference on Tuesday in San Diego. "Actually it's quite fun to fight them, you know. It's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up front with you, I like brawling," said Lt Gen Mattis. "You go into Afghanistan, Lt Gen Mattis said during a panel discussion. "You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them." The audience laughed and applauded after he made his remarks, which were shown on US television. In a statement, General Michael Hagee, commander of the Marine Corps, praised Lt Gen Mattis as "one of this country's bravest and most experienced military leaders". "While I understand that some people may take issue with the comments made by him, I also know he intended to reflect the unfortunate and harsh realities of war," Gen Hagee said. ------------------------------------------------------------- HAHAHA... alba - neagra... sus de sapte, jos de sapte si la mijloc de trei ori... A lot of a fun to shoot people!!! OK guys lets have fun strat shooting at me... hahahaha... Good bye little american puppet. God be with you!

You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil," Mattis said during a panel discussion. "You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them."

An elderly Italian man who lived on the outskirts of Monte Casino went to the local church for confession. When the priest slid open the panel in the confessional, the man said, "Father, during World War II, a beautiful woman knocked on my door and asked me to hide her from the enemy. So I hid her in my attic." The priest replied, "That was a wonderful thing you did, my son! And you have no need to confess that." "It's worse than that, Father. She started to repay me with sexual favors." The priest said, "By doing that, you were both in great danger. However, two people under those circumstances can be very tempted to act that way. But if you are truly sorry for your actions, you are indeed forgiven." "Thank you, Father. That's a great load off my mind. But I do have one more question." "And what is that?" "Should I tell her the war is over?"

Olins, creatorul sloganului Orange: "the future is bright"

In
"tara unde Atlanticul atinge Europa". Este totodata conferentiar la Said
Business School-Oxford si are propria firma de consultanta.
>
intervievati).
programul "Made in Romania".
el perceput in strainatate?
> Ceausescu?
> Iliescu, actualul presedinte.
> Nimeni nu stie cine e Iliescu, in afara Romaniei. Nu este perceput
nicicum. Stii cine e presedintele Elvetiei? Oamenilor nu le pasa de
politicieni.
politica, business, sport, cultura, publicitate.
invecinate sint "target"-uri suficiente.
Merita
asa o investitie?
> Toate statele investesc sume mari in promovare. Problema este nu
citi bani se pun in joc, ci cum stii sa coordonezi mai eficient
cheltuielile.
coerent. Asta, in opinia mea.
> Ati fost intrebat la seminar daca includerea Casei Poporului in
situat in Europa Centrala si de Rasarit, care joaca in nord-est-ul Europei
rolul Spaniei in sud.
> Cum suna sloganul "Romania, mereu surprinzatoare"?
> Nicicum.
Aceasta are un trecut, o
traditie, o cultura. Cautati oameni reprezentativi, idei geniale, sportivi
de marca, muzicieni, scriitori de prestigiu. Gasiti simboluri care sa va
reprezinte.
> Alteceva decit Dracula?
> Asta e o idee proasta. Nu o mai folositi. Strainii va vor ironiza.
Cautati sa personalizati lucruri, mincaruri, obiceiuri. Aduceti ceva
diferit.
>
> Programul "Made in Romania" trebuie reconsiderat.
Transnistria, lupte etc.
> MIRCEA GEOANA, ministru de externe
>
>
