Mea culpa!

Intii imi scrie Bruce:

===========================

Spencer Tunick, he is the DUDE!!! When someone is able to get 450
naked women to pose for them in Grand Central Station in NYC, then they are the greatest photographer in the world. Until someone is
able to do this on the Moon then his title will remain.

===========================================

La care eu raspund:

> I am very curious to see what pictures it have made...
>
> His site is ... I have not words... go here:
>
> It is an idiot... This pictures are made by a groggy man... I cannot
> believe.

> Best regards,

> Dinu
=============================================
La care Bruce:

Though I was making a joke about Tunick being the "world's greatest
photographer". All joking aside however I do think he is a great
photographer, and I'll tell you why. Photography as you know is just a
tool that allows people to see many different things in a two
dimensional world, a world that despite being two dimensional still
enables us to experience the image on a high information level.

For me the genius of what Tunick does is showing the Homo-Sapien
species as group of animals without the usual protective barrier of
clothing in different and varied environments. Very interesting
environments at least for me. Buenos Aires, New York City, Antarctica,
Vienna, St. Petersburg, etc. all juxtaposed with a single naked human
form or in huge naked groups. It is strangely interesting because it is
something we would never see otherwise especially the groups. In that
sense it is art because it allows us to see something very unique and
thought provoking on the nature of being human.

Some people could say anyone with a camera could take a picture of a
naked person outdoors, and they would be right, however let them try
and go through the effort to organize the large groups of people and
get the permission of international city governments as Tunick
succeeded in doing. So for me Tunick is far from being an "idiot" or a
"groggy man". For me he is a genuine artist with a nice sense of humor who is exploring the human form in an interesting way through the use of photography.
==========================================

Replica mea este:

> All that you write here is a good sense and true. Seeing so, it is OK.
>
> But... the light, the composition, the color, the perspective, the art?
>
> I need only a idea, only a concept? I do not need any professional sense of the light?
>
> I believe that you understand me...
>
> When I see a picture, I give in my mind notes for technique, art (
> composition) and idea.
>
> 0+0+10/3=3,3...

=======================================
Si Bruce continua:

Sometimes the technique is secondary to the concept, sometimes the technique is the concept. What I've found refreshing with Tunick's photography is his relative lack of obvious technique, the almost snapshot like quality of his pictures, as if he just showed up accidently with a Ricoh G1 loaded with color negative film and just snapped a shot of this strangeness before him.
This is what gives it power, the utter banality of technique.

============================================================

In momentul in care mishcarea de rotatie are o anumita putere, dracia se ridica sin suportul respectiv si zboara.Ca atare roatie+ zburat= true si common sense= 0

Asta e o idee. Si? In conceptia mea asta nu ajunge... trebuie lumina, cadru, atmosfera... iacata ce spun cei mari:

"Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print - my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey - from the subject before me?"

-Ansel Adams

It is light that reveals, light that obscures, light that communicates. It is light I "listen"
to. The light late in the day has a distinct quality, as it fades toward the darkness of evening. After sunset there is a gentle leaving of the light, the air begins to still, and a quiet descends. I see magic in the quiet light of dusk. I feel quiet, yet intense energy in the natural elements of our habitat. A sense of magic prevails. A sense of mystery. It is a time for contemplation, for listening - a time for making photographs.

(la: Ce este un gentleman? (o parere victoriana))
´´He (the gentleman) has too much good sense to be affronted at insults, he is too well employed to remember injuries, and too indolent to bear malice. He is patient, forbearing, and resigned, on philosophical principles; he submits to pain, because it is inevitable, to bereavement, because it is irreparable, and to death, because it is his destiny. If he engages in controversy of any kind, his disciplined intellect preserves him from the blunder. [From The Idea of a University, 1852]

Si cum as putea s-o fac?
Daca real CIA a fost implicata,nu ma surprinde deloc!!!THE BIG BROTHER is everywhere and is watching you as we speak!
Makes NO sense!
Am I going insane or what?
He's watching us!!
Oare trebuie sa fiu multumit ca traiesc aici?de as trai in Franta tot la fel as fi,si as lupta, ori in Italia ori oriunde pe glob.Dar am luat-o razna cu divagatia mea,am I going CRAZZZYYYY?You bet!
So live for today, tomorrow never comes, sau pe scurt si mai romaneste, traieste clipa.

LOVE&PEACE,

Dupa cite stiu eu: hebrew = evreu
israeli = israelian
jew = ? (eu credeam jidan---corectati-ma)
jewish = de religie ?

2 a transf. and offensive. As a name of opprobrium: spec. applied to a
grasping or extortionate person (whether Jewish or not) who drives hard
bargains.
In medieval England, Jews, though engaged in many pursuits, were particularly
familiar as money-lenders, their activities being publicly regulated for them
by the Crown, whose proteges they were. In private, Christians also practised
money-lending, though forbidden to do so by Canon Law. Thus the name of Jew
came to be associated in the popular mind with usury and any extortionate
practices that might be supposed to accompany it, and gained an opprobrious
sense.

GOLF
There were two golfers on the golf course.
One of the men pulled out a cigarette, and asked his friend for a light.
His friend pulls out a 12 inch Bic lighter.
“Wow, where did you get such a large Bic?” “Oh, my genie got it for me.”
“Your genie? You have a genie? Where is he?”
“He is in my golf bag.”
The friend says, “Can I see him?” His friend says “yes, sure!” So the friend looks in the bag and out comes the genie.
The man says to the genie: “I am your master’s best friend. Would you grant me just one wish?” The genie says “yes, just one wish”. So the man wishes for a million bucks.
The genie goes back in the golf bag without saying a word. Pretty soon, the sky starts to get dark. Then it gets even darker. The man looks up and sees a million ducks flying over.
He gets really upset, and says “what is the matter with your genie? Is he hard of hearing? I said a million Bucks, not a million Ducks.”
His friend says to him: “Do you really think I asked for a 12 inch Bic?”

PISSING & MOANING
An elderly lady phoned her telephone company to report that her telephone failed to ring when her friends called and that on the few occasions when it did ring, her pet dog always moaned right before the phone rang.

The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic dog or senile elderly lady. He climbed a nearby telephone pole, hooked in his test set, and dialed the subscriber's house. The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned loudly and the telephone began to ring.

Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:

1. The dog was tied to the telephone 's ground wire via a steel chain and collar.
2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.
3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the phone number was called.
4. After a couple of such jolts, the dog would start moaning and then urinate on himself and the ground.
5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to ring.

Which goes to show that some problems can be fixed by pissing and moaning.

Ideas,language,even the phrase"each other"
doesn't make any sense."
.........
Soul receives from soul that knowledge, therefore not by book
nor from tongue.
If knowledge of mysteries come after emptiness of mind, that is
illumination of heart.
.................
Sweetly parading you go my soul of soul, go not without me;
life of your friends, enter not the garden without me.
Sky, revolve not without me; moon, shine not without me;
earth travel not without me, and time, go not without me.

Dear bro,

Silence speaks to the heart of the one who is receptive to the voice.

Are sens?

Oare chiar are sens sa fiu considerat asa?
Domne (NU e vorba de tine ),daca VRETI sa Nu mai fac parte din cafenea,scrie-ti once &for all!!!!Nu ma voi supara pe nimeni!
Sincer vorbesc.

********************************
Senator Zell Miller

Since I last stood in this spot, a whole new generation of the Miller Family has been born: Four great grandchildren.

Along with all the other members of our close-knit family -- they are my and Shirley's most precious possessions.

And I know that's how you feel about your family also.

Like you, I think of their future, the promises and the perils they will face.

Like you, I believe that the next four years will determine what kind of world they will grow up in.

And like you, I ask which leader is it today that has the vision, the willpower and, yes, the backbone to best protect my family?

The clear answer to that question has placed me in this hall with you tonight. For my family is more important than my party.

There is but one man to whom I am willing to entrust their future and that man's name is

George Bush.

In the summer of 1940, I was an eight-year-old boy living in a remote little Appalachian valley.

Our country was not yet at war but even we children knew that there were some crazy men across the ocean who would kill us if they could.

President Roosevelt, in his speech that summer, told America "all private plans, all private lives, have been in a sense repealed by an overriding public danger."

In 1940 Wendell Wilkie was the Republican nominee.

And there is no better example of someone repealing their "private plans" than this good man.

He gave Roosevelt the critical support he needed for a peacetime draft, an unpopular idea at the time.

And he made it clear that he would rather lose the election than make national security a partisan campaign issue.

Shortly before Wilkie died he told a friend, that if he could write his own epitaph and had to choose between "here lies a president" or "here lies one who contributed to saving freedom", he would prefer the latter.

Where are such statesmen today?

Where is the bi-partisanship in this country when we need it most?

Now, while young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrat's manic obsession to bring down our Commander-in-Chief.

What has happened to the party I've spent my life working in?

I can remember when Democrats believed that it was the duty of America to fight for freedom over tyranny.

It was Democratic President Harry Truman who pushed the Red Army out of Iran, who came to the aid of Greece when Communists threatened to overthrow it, who stared down the Soviet blockade of West Berlin by flying in supplies and saving the city.

Time after time in our history, in the face of great danger, Democrats and Republicans worked together to ensure that freedom would not falter. But not today.

Motivated more by partisan politics than by national security, today's Democratic leaders see America as an occupier, not a liberator.

And nothing makes this Marine madder than someone calling American troops occupiers rather than liberators.

Tell that to the one-half of Europe that was freed because Franklin Roosevelt led an army of liberators, not occupiers.

Tell that to the lower half of the Korean Peninsula that is free because Dwight Eisenhower commanded an army of liberators, not occupiers.

Tell that to the half a billion men, women and children who are free today from the Baltics to the Crimea, from Poland to Siberia, because Ronald Reagan rebuilt a military of liberators, not occupiers.

Never in the history of the world has any soldier sacrificed more for the freedom and liberty of total strangers than the American soldier. And, our soldiers don't just give freedom abroad, they preserve it for us here at home.

For it has been said so truthfully that it is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag.

No one should dare to even think about being the Commander in Chief of this country if he doesn't believe with all his heart that our soldiers are liberators abroad and defenders of freedom at home.

But don't waste your breath telling that to the leaders of my party today. In their warped way of thinking America is the problem, not the solution.

They don't believe there is any real danger in the world except that which America brings upon itself through our clumsy and misguided foreign policy.

It is not their patriotism - it is their judgment that has been so sorely lacking. They claimed Carter's pacifism would lead to peace.

They were wrong.

They claimed Reagan's defense buildup would lead to war.

They were wrong.

And, no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.

Together, Kennedy/Kerry have opposed the very weapons system that won the Cold War and that is now winning the War on Terror.

Listing all the weapon systems that Senator Kerry tried his best to shut down sounds like an auctioneer selling off our national security but Americans need to know the facts.

The B-1 bomber, that Senator Kerry opposed, dropped 40% of the bombs in the first six months of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The B-2 bomber, that Senator Kerry opposed, delivered air strikes against the Taliban in Afghanistan and Hussein's command post in Iraq.

The F-14A Tomcats, that Senator Kerry opposed, shot down Khadifi's Libyan MIGs over the Gulf of Sidra. The modernized F-14D, that Senator Kerry opposed, delivered missile strikes against Tora Bora.

The Apache helicopter, that Senator Kerry opposed, took out those Republican Guard tanks in Kuwait in the Gulf War. The F-15 Eagles, that Senator Kerry opposed, flew cover over our Nation's Capital and this very city after 9/11.

I could go on and on and on: Against the Patriot Missile that shot down Saddam Hussein's scud missiles over Israel, Against the Aegis air-defense cruiser, Against the Strategic Defense Initiative, Against the Trident missile, against, against, against.

This is the man who wants to be the Commander in Chief of our U.S. Armed Forces?

U.S. forces armed with what? Spitballs?

Twenty years of votes can tell you much more about a man than twenty weeks of campaign rhetoric.

Campaign talk tells people who you want them to think you are. How you vote tells people who you really are deep inside.

Senator Kerry has made it clear that he would use military force only if approved by the United Nations.

Kerry would let Paris decide when America needs defending. I want Bush to decide.

John Kerry, who says he doesn't like outsourcing, wants to outsource our national security.

That's the most dangerous outsourcing of all. This politician wants to be leader of the free world.

Free for how long?

For more than twenty years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure. As a war protestor, Kerry blamed our military.

As a Senator, he voted to weaken our military. And nothing shows that more sadly and more clearly than his vote this year to deny protective armor for our troops in harms way, far-away.

George Bush understands that we need new strategies to meet new threats.

John Kerry wants to re-fight yesterday's war. George Bush believes we have to fight today's war and be ready for tomorrow's challenges. George Bush is committed to providing the kind of forces it takes to root out terrorists.

No matter what spider hole they may hide in or what rock they crawl under.

George Bush wants to grab terrorists by the throat and not let them go to get a better grip.

From John Kerry, they get a "yes-no-maybe" bowl of mush that can only encourage our enemies and confuse our friends.

I first got to know George Bush when we served as governors together. I admire this man.

I am moved by the respect he shows the First Lady, his unabashed love for his parents and his daughters, and the fact that he is unashamed of his belief that God is not indifferent to America.

I can identify with someone who has lived that line in "Amazing Grace," "Was blind, but now I see," and I like the fact that he's the same man on Saturday night that he is on Sunday morning.

He is not a slick talker but he is a straight shooter and, where I come from, deeds mean a lot more than words.

I have knocked on the door of this man's soul and found someone home, a God-fearing man with a good heart and a spine of tempered steel.

The man I trust to protect my most precious possession: my family.

This election will change forever the course of history, and that's not any history. It's our family's history.

The only question is how. The answer lies with each of us. And, like many generations before us, we've got some hard choosing to do.

Right now the world just cannot afford an indecisive America. Fainthearted, self-indulgence will put at risk all we care about in this world.

In this hour of danger our President has had the courage to stand up. And this Democrat is proud to stand up with him.

Thank you.

God Bless this great country and God Bless George W. Bush.

U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr., Chairman _____________________________________ www.house.gov/judiciary News Advisory For immediate release Contact: Jeff Lungren/Terry Shawn September 21, 2004 202-225-2492 House Approves Video Voyeurism Legislation Offenses Punishable by up to $100,000 Fine and 1 Year Imprisonment WASHINGTON, D.C. - The House today approved by voice vote legislation
imposing civil and criminal penalties for those surreptitiously photographing or videotaping a person naked or partially naked on federal lands. The Senate passed S. 1301 in July and it now goes to President Bush for his signature. House Judiciary Committee Chairman F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr. (R-Wis,) said “With the development of smaller cameras and the instantaneous distribution capability of the Internet, the issue of ‘video voyeurism’ is a huge privacy concern. Unsuspecting adults, as well as high school students and children have been targeted in school locker rooms, department store dressing rooms, and even in their homes.” “Many states have since passed laws to target video voyeurism to protect those in private areas, but there are fewer protections for those who may be photographed in compromising positions in public places. S. 1301 makes the act of ‘video voyeurism’ illegal on Federal land such as national parks or Federal buildings, using the well-accepted legal concept that individuals are entitled to a reasonable expectation of privacy. It also serves as model legislation for states that have not yet enacted their own laws or need to update existing laws to account for the rapid spread of camera technology.
This crime would be punishable by a fine of not more than $100,000 or imprisonment for up to 1 year, or both,” added Chairman Sensenbrenner. S. 1301 was introduced by Sen. Mike DeWine (R-Ohio) and spearheaded by Rep.
Mike Oxley (R-Ohio) and others in the House.

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if
appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond
effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons
of mass destruction programs." Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry( D - MA), and others Oct. 9,1998.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force if necessary to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9,2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a
particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction . So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real" - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

Oh, the wonder of it all, now that Bush has done just what Kerry said should be done, he changes his stand.

Kerry's slogan "I am for everything, I am against everything, that leaves no room for argument!"

Pentru Hypatia (Mea culpa) - de AR la: 25/10/2004 13:53:33
(la: Obligativitatea religiei in scoli - o masura nelegala?)
MEA CULPA !

Imi insusesc urmatoarele definitii (din Dictionarul Explicativ) ale termenilor in discutie:

IMORAL (adj.) = care este in contradictie cu principiile moralei
MORAL (adj.) = care corespunde moralei; in conformitate cu morala
MORALA (s.f.)

IMMORAL (adj.) = Contrary to established moral principles
MORAL (adj.) = 1. Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character. 2. Teaching or exhibiting goodness or correctness of character and behavior. 3. Conforming to standards of what is right or just in behavior; virtuous. 4. Arising from conscience or the sense of right and wrong. 5. Having psychological rather than physical or tangible effects. 6. Based on strong likelihood or firm conviction, rather than on the actual evidence.
MORAL (n.) = 1. The lesson or principle contained in or taught by a fable, a story, or an event. 2. A concisely expressed precept or general truth; a maxim.
MORALE (n.) = The state of the spirits of a person or group as exhibited by confidence, cheerfulness, discipline, and willingness to perform assigned tasks.
MORALS (n. pl.) = Rules or habits of conduct, especially of sexual conduct, with reference to standards of right and wrong.

AR

P.S. Personal, nu cred ca, in anul 2004, cineva mai poate crede SINCER ca textul biblic este de sorginte divina si ca are si alta valoare in afara celei literare (remarcabila, de altfel, desi extrem de inegala)...

De asemnea Blair a fost citat ca a spus :"There was a real sense that in the second term the president has space and energy to develop an agenda that I hope can unify Europe and America. That means reaching out on both sides."
Vesti bune, promitatoare.
