Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the sky

Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of chances before
But I ain't gonna give any more
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
'Cause part of me knows what you're thinking...
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusaation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing

I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
Iam the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more
To know that I can read your mind, I can read your mind

Don't leave false illusions behind
Don't cry 'cause I ain't changing my mind
Soo find another fool like before
'Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceivïng

Lenny Kravitz - Can't get you off my mind

Life is just a lonely highway
I'm out here on the open road
I'm old enough to see behind me
But young enough to feel my soul
I don't wanna lose you baby
And I don't wanna be alone
Don't wanna live my days without you
But for now I've got to be without you

I've got a pocket full of money
And pocket full of keys that have no bounds
But then I think of lovin'
And I just can't get you off of my mind

Babe can't you see
That this is killing me
I don't want to push you baby
And I don't want you to be told
It's just that I can't breathe without you
Feel like I'm gonna lose control

I've got a pocket full of money oh yes I do
And a pocket full of keys that have no bounds
But when it comes to lovin'
I just can't get you off of my mind, yeaaah

Am I a fool to think that there's a little hope
Yeah yeahhhhhheee yeah
Tell me baby, yeah
What are the rules the reasons and the do's and don'ts
Yeah yeahhhhhheee yeah
Tell me baby tell me baby, yeah
What do you feel inside?

I've got a pocket full of money
And a pocket full of keys that have no bounds
Oh yeah
But when it comes down to lovin'
I just can't get you off of my mind, yeah
I just can't get you off of my mïnd, yeah.

Pasagerul a plecat, acuma ne dam singuri doza:(

A guy walks into a bar with a dog under his arm, puts the dog on
the bar and announces that the dog can talk and that he has $100
he's willing to bet anyone who says he can't.
The bartender quickly takes the bet and the owner looks at the dog
and asks, "What's the thing on top of this building which keeps the
rain from coming inside?" The dog answers "ROOF." The bartender says, "Who are you kidding? I'm not paying." The dogs owner says, "How about double or nothing and I'll ask him something else". The bartender agrees and the owner turns to the dog and asks,
"Who was the greatest ballplayer of all time". The dog answers with a muffled "RUTH." With that the bartender picks them both up and throws them out the door.
As they bounce on the sidewalk the dog looks at his owner and says "DiMaggio?".

Pigs Are Smart

A farmer in Macon, Georgia, had five female pigs. Times were hard, so he decided to take them to the county fair and sell them.

At the fair, he met another farmer who owned five male pigs. After talking a bit, they decided to mate the pigs and split everything fifty-fifty. The farmers lived sixty miles apart. So they agreed to drive thirty miles each, and find a field in which to let the pigs mate.

The first morning, the farmer with the female pigs got up at 5 a.m., loaded the pigs into the family station wagon, which was the only vehicle he had, and drove the thirty miles.

While the pigs were mating, he asked the other farmer, "How will I know if they are pregnant?"

The other farmer replied, "If they're in the grass in the morning, they're pregnant, if they're in the mud, they're not."

The next morning the pigs were rolling in the mud. So he hosed them off, loaded them into the family station wagon again and proceeded to try again.

This continued each morning for more than a week.

One morning the farmer was so tired, he couldn't get out of bed. He called to his wife, "Honey, please look outside and tell me whether the pigs are in the mud or in the grass."

"Neither," yelled his wife, "they're in the station wagon and one of them is honking the horn."

this poem is dedicated to all the beautiful women on "Cafeneaua" and to all the men that know how to love both women and wine

Ode To Wine

"Day-colored wine,
night-colored wine,
wine with purple feet
or wine with topaz blood,
starry child
of earth,
wine, smooth
as a golden sword,
as lascivious velvet,
wine, spiral-seashelled
and full of wonder,
never has one goblet contained you,
one song, one man,
you are choral, gregarious,
at the least, you must be shared.
At times
you feed on mortal
your wave carries us
from tomb to tomb,
stonecutter of icy sepulchers,
and we weep
transitory tears;
spring dress
is different,
blood rises through the shoots,
wind incites the day,
nothing is left
of your immutable soul.
stirs the spring, happiness
bursts through the earth like a plant,
walls crumble,
and rocky cliffs,
chasms close,
as song is born.
A jug of wine, and thou beside me
in the wilderness,
sang the ancient poet.
Let the wine pitcher
add to the kiss of love its own.

My darling, suddenly
the line of your hip
becomes the brimming curve
of the wine goblet,
your breast is the grape cluster,
your nipples are the grapes,
the gleam of spirits lights your hair,
and your navel is a chaste seal
stamped on the vessel of your belly,
your love an inexhaustible
cascade of wine,
light that illuminates my senses,
the earthly splendor of life.

But you are more than love,
the fiery kiss,
the heat of fire,
more than the wine of life;
you are
the community of man,
chorus of discipline,
abundance of flowers.
I like on the table,
when we're speaking,
the light of a bottle
of intelligent wine.
Drink it,
and remember in every
drop of gold,
in every topaz glass,
in every purple ladle,
that autumn labored
to fill the vessel with wine;
and in the ritual of his office,
let the simple man remember
to think of the soil and of his duty,
to propagate the canticle of the wine."

Here will we sit, and let the sounds of music
Creep in our ears: soft stillness and the night

There’s not the smallest orb which thou behold’st

Such harmony is in immortal souls;

Doth grossly close it in, we cannot hear it

(la: Cele mai frumoase poezii)

OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Dumnezeu-Grand Father-Great Spirit-The Creator.
Odata ,Pete l-a cantat la Myrtle Beach(So.Carolina fiind langa el pe plaja,la ocean,am mai scris despre asta deja).

There are men high up there fishing
Haven't seen quite enough of the world,
I ain't seen a sign of my heroes,
And I'm still diving for pearls.

Let me flow into the ocean,
Let me back to the sea.
Let be me stormy and let be me calm,
Let the tide in,and set me free.

I'm flowing under bridges,
Then flying through the sky,
I'm travelling down cold metal
Just a tear in baby's eye.

Let me flow...repeat

I am not the actor
This can't be the scene
But I'm in the water
As far as I can see.

I'm remembering distant memories
Recalling other names
Rippling over canyons,
And boiling in the rain.

Let me flow...repeat.

Roses are red, violets are blue, I once thought I was ugly, until I saw you!

Just because you have one doesn't mean you have to act like one!

A man's got to do what a man's got to do. A woman must do what he can't.

Men's brains are like the prison system - not enough cells.

Stupidity does not qualify as a handicap, park elsewhere!

You have a right to your opinions. I just don't want to hear them.

You're breath' so stinky I don't know whether I should give you a breath mint or toiletpaper!

If you can't live without me, why aren't you dead already?

You'd make a lovely corpse!

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception.

Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?

Did you eat a brain tumor for breakfast?

You love nature in spite of what it did to you?

I want to reach your mind - where is it currently located?

I wish I'd known you when you were alive.

If you ever had a bright idea, it would be beginner's luck!

What's on your mind? If you'll forgive the overstatement.

When you go to the mind reader, do you get half price?

I look into your eyes and get the feeling someone else is driving.

You're a mouse studying to be a rat.

Don't look now, but there's one too many in this room and I think it's you.

Every time I'm next to you, I get a fierce desire to be alone.

I can't believe that out of 100,000 sperm, you were the quickest!

If you ever become a mother, can I have one of the puppies?

There's nothing wrong with you that reincarnation won't cure.

Why don't you bore a hole in yourself and let the sap run out?

You're a good example of why some animals eat their young.

~~~ I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!
Just face it, your guy lost. How about the popular vote?
E numai vorba de "Codul luiDaVinci"? - de mircios la: 12/02/2005 09:14:06
(la: Codul Da Vinci (Da Vinci Code))
"Belbo's favorite sentence he saves for pretentiousness, 'Ma gavte la nata,' which means something like 'take the cork out [of his ass] and let the wind out.'"[Google search]
Chestie pe care nu a facut-o nimeni pana acum pe fasia asta de discutie.
Ma infioara cand vad cum oamenii bat apa in piua doar ca sa auda zgomot. Eu o sa va dau tirbusonul:
Nimeni nu se intreaba de ce se promoveaza mediocritatea, ba mai mult, se ridica la nivel de geniu. Lucru care de altfel tinde sa se intample cam peste tot in ultima vreme. Cred ca unui om normal ar trebui sa i se para ciudat ca o carte ca aceasta a putut sa stea aproape doi ani de zile ca varf de lista a lecturilor si vanzarilor in America, Franta, Italia, mai putin Germania, Spania, si uite ca acum va avea aceeasi soarta in Romania si alte tari "civilizate".
E o carte care este nula din punct de vedere literar, are o actiune comuna si personaje de benzi desenate. Asa cum bine mentiona cineva arata ca o carte de Sandra Brown adica puternic ajutata de calculator. E scrisa dupa Ingeri si Demoni, dar nu e cu nimic mai buna sau mai rea. Este doar jocul publicitatii (ca si Potter Books, a aparut aproape simultan in mai multe limbi) care o face atat de atragatoare si ca experiment probabil ca e un experiment reusit.
Ce e ingrozitor este ca nimeni nu se intreaba de ce, dupa succesul pe care l-au avut "Pokemon movies" la o anumita categorie de varsta, succes obtinut mai ales prin propaganda si reclama, dupa ce lumea a fost "ravasita" de Fenomenul "Potter" la alta categorie de varsta, apare aceasta nulitate de "Codul lui DaVinci" ca sa incununeze construirea omului de tip nou, consumator idiot si lesne manipulabil, gata sa isi schimbe credintele si convingerile dupa o comanda de la centru. Daca cineva ar urma zicala care spune ca daca vrei sa ajungi la sursa raului trebuie sa urmaresti curgerea banilor, ar vedea ca toate, plecand mai mult sau mai putin din acelasi loc, urmaresc o construire nu numai a unui om de tip nou dar si a unui crestinism de tip nou care sa fie capabil sa asimileze sau sa se agreneze cu usurinta alaturi de alte religii "pagane."
Din fericire, ce se pierde din vedere in acest experiment e ca o religie nu se poate crea si nici re-crea, ci trebuie intemeiata. Iar istoria arata ca nu paiate de genul Dan Brown pot fi facuti peste noapte intemeietori de religie. Nici macar regi sau faraoni care au incercat nu au reusit.
Ce este ingrijorator este apatia cu care oamenii se lasa manipulati si lipsa de responsabilitate fata de ei insisi si fata de statutul lor de oameni.
Este ingrijoratoare usurinta cu care oamenii obositi ai acestui mileniu accepta castrari spirituale de la cele minore de genul "The DaVinci Code" pana la cele mai infioratoare de talia "Razboiului impotriva Terorismului."
Nepasarea a devenit deja nesimtire. Inchisi in mintea lor ca intr-o celula stramta, oamenii zilei de azi schimba sabloane mentale la servici, intr-o camera viruala de chat, la coada, la o bere, la club sau la sala de gimnastica si au senzatia ca sant liberi. In timpul asta, afara, tropaie cizmele distrugerii intr-o uluitoare reala libertate de a se juca cu vietile si mintile lor.
Actiunea incepe de acolo de unde oamenii inteleg ca viata e mai simpla decat sant indemnati sa credeada ca e. "Ce as putea sa fac? Cum sa ma lupt?" vor intreba unii. Raspunsul e simplu si era scris pe frontispiciul Oracolului lui Apollon din Delphi:
"Nimic prea mult. Cunoaste-te pe tine insuti."
Cartea "Codul lui DaVinci," in nimicnicia ei, este deja prea mult, insa pentru cel care se cunoaste cu adevarat nu poate ramane decat o incercare, abila poate si sigur perversa, insa fara rezultat de zdruncinare a credintei si cunoasteri de sine.
